Point In Time Count (PIT)

OC Point In Time Count (PIT) Reports and Briefs

The Point-in-Time (PIT) count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons on a single night during the last 10 days of January. The sheltered count must occur on an annual basis, and include clients in Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, and Safe Haven projects.  CoCs also must conduct a count of unsheltered homeless persons every other year.

The CoC Homeless Population and Subpopulation reports are published by HUD annually, and show PIT data for Orange County year by year.
