In Person HMIS User Meeting May 30th 2018

If you have subscribed to the HMIS Calendar on ochmis.org so that our events are visible in your Outlook or Google Calendars, you may see that the event for the May 2018 HMIS User Meeting is set on May 16th. This is incorrect and the HMIS Calendar has been updated to reflect the correct date and time for the next user meeting on May 30th, 2018, from 10AM to 11AM.

The change made in the HMIS calendar may not have been pushed out to your calendar. Next week we will send out another reminder email for the in person HMIS User Meeting on May 30th.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Scheduled HMIS Outage 2/23 6PM – 10PM

HMIS will be unavailable on Friday, February 23rd, from 6PM to 10PM while a patch is applied to HMIS. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This patch only includes functionality changes for VASH and Street Outreach projects, respectively. Please see these Knowledge Base articles for details of the changes. VASH and Street Outreach Agency Administrators will receive an email with this same information.

Reminder: AIDS Sensitivity Training on November 1st!

211OC will host a FREE AIDS Sensitivity Training for all Orange County homeless service providers on Wednesday, November 1st.  Representatives from the AIDS Services Foundation will conduct the training which will consist of a presentation and Q&A session.

Where? CASA Training Room (Upstairs) 1505 E 17th. St Santa Ana, CA
When? Wednesday, 11/01/17, from 2PM to 4PM.

We are hoping at least one representative from each of our agencies can attend this important training.  We hope that it will help us serve this marginalized population better!

According to the National Coalition for the HomelessHIV/AIDS and homelessness are intricately related.  The costs of health care and medications for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are often too high for people to keep up with.  In addition, PLWHA are in danger of losing their jobs due to discrimination or as a result of frequent health-related absences.  As a result, up to 50% of PLWHA in the United States are at risk of becoming homeless.

There is no need to RSVP for this event, please just show up ready to learn!
