The Office of Care Coordination in partnership with the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC) is facilitating the Homeless Provider Forum on a quarterly basis. The next in-person Homeless Provider Forum meeting is being held on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
Note: Agenda will be posted and shared via email notification at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting date.
Homeless Provider Forum Overview
The Homeless Provider Forum is co-chaired by two members of the CoC Board. The Homeless Provider Forum meetings serve as spaces to share updates on efforts of the Orange County CoC, CoC Board and Office of Care Coordination; hold trainings that support organizations in being knowledgeable on evidence-based practices as well as trainings required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and allow service providers the opportunity to share information and services their organizations offer for people experiencing homelessness and network. The Office of Care Coordination will be hosting a training on the Equal Access Final Rule and Gender Identity Final Rule established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Through this training, service providers will learn how to effectively implement HUD’s Equal Access Rules to ensure fair housing and shelter opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, as well as ensuring the preservation of families accessing housing and shelter. Please find details on the upcoming training below:

Registration is now open for the fifth cohort of the HMIS Data Analytics On-Demand Course. The goal of this immersive course is to provide a conceptual and practical framework for ad hoc reporting utilizing HMIS data. This self-paced course is open to anyone in your community who is interested in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating HMIS data. This is an introductory level course and might be a good fit for newer members of your HMIS team or someone looking to brush up on their data skills. Participants are not expected to have high-level technical or statistical skills; only basic knowledge of the following is needed:

For Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) grantees with Annual Performance Reports (APR)/Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Reports (CAPER) due to HUD on or after January 1, 2023, a new Consolidated APR/CAPER reporting format will go into effect, superseding all previous HOPWA APR and CAPER forms. The new form restructures, consolidates, and streamlines the annually reported data for grantees, increasing the usability of HOPWA performance data for grantees and HUD alike.
