Project Types

A project is to be assigned a ‘Project Type’ based on the lodging or service it is providing. The project type selected directly impacts data collection and reporting requirements. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development defines these Project Types in HMIS:
 Homelessness Prevention
 Street Outreach
 Emergency Shelter
 Day Shelter
 Transitional Housing
 Safe Haven
 PH – Rapid Re-Housing
 PH – Permanent Supportive Housing (disability required for entry)
 PH – Housing with Services (no disability required for entry)
 PH – Housing Only
 Coordinated Entry
 Services Only
 Other
