Equal Access to Housing in HUD Programs – Regardless of Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity

This rule requires owners and operators of HUD-assisted housing, or housing whose financing is insured by HUD, to make housing available without regard to the sexual orientation or gender identity.

Determining Homeless Status of Youth

HUD released guidance to assist intake workers in determining and documenting homeless status for youth using the definition of homelessness found in HUD’s Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) and Continuum of Care (CoC) Programs to ensure youth are not being turned away from the housing and services they need in error.
