211OC will host a FREE AIDS Sensitivity Training for all Orange County homeless service providers on Wednesday, November 1st. Representatives from the AIDS Services Foundation will conduct the training which will consist of a presentation and Q&A session.

When? Wednesday, 11/01/17, from 2PM to 4PM.
We are hoping at least one representative from each of our agencies can attend this important training. We hope that it will help us serve this marginalized population better!
According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, HIV/AIDS and homelessness are intricately related. The costs of health care and medications for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are often too high for people to keep up with. In addition, PLWHA are in danger of losing their jobs due to discrimination or as a result of frequent health-related absences. As a result, up to 50% of PLWHA in the United States are at risk of becoming homeless.
